Made in India

Sustainable Threads creates design-led, fair trade home textiles made in partnership with artisan communities across India. The Tea Break Reverie napkin set was made for the slower moments. Each napkin is hand block printed on unbleached kora cotton using intricately carved wooden blocks, low-impact dyes, and a color-by-color stamping process that requires dozens of careful impressions per napkin. The contemporary geometric motifs are quiet and warm, equally at home beside a morning cup of tea or a beautifully set dinner table. Crafted by artisans from the Physically Disabled Artisan Initiative, each set is a small act of fair trade in action.

Why We Love It

  • Hand block printing is one of the most labor-intensive textile techniques in the world
  • The geometric motifs use a multi-color printing process. Each color requires its own carved block and its own pass, with drying time in between. The result is visual depth that machine printing simply cannot replicate
  • Crafted by artisans from the Physically Disabled Artisan Initiative. Buying this set directly supports fair wages, dignified work, and a living craft tradition
  • A genuinely elevated, eco-friendly alternative to disposable paper napkins. Reusable, washable, and beautiful enough to make every meal feel intentional
  • A unique, feel-good gift for housewarmings, weddings, hostess moments, or a thoughtful everyday treat
