1. What is Kindred & Kin?

Kindred & Kin is a thoughtfully curated home, beauty, and lifestyle marketplace celebrating global craftsmanship. We partner with artisans and heritage brands around the world to bring meaningful, beautifully made pieces directly to your home. Click here to read our story!

2. Where do your products come from?

Our collections are sourced from small artisan communities and heritage studios across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and beyond. Each product is intentionally selected, tested in our own homes, and rooted in cultural storytelling and authentic craft.

3. Are your products handmade?

Many of our pieces are handmade by artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. These items may naturally vary in color, pattern, or texture -- and that uniqueness is part of their beauty.

We also partner with established heritage brands whose products are crafted in small batches rather than fully handmade. While not artisan-made, these brands uphold exceptional quality, cultural authenticity, and thoughtful design that align with our values.

4. Do you offer pre-orders?

Yes. Select collections, especially handcrafted or limited-edition pieces. are available for pre-order. These items typically require a 10–14 week production window depending on the artisan and complexity of the craft. Production timelines are always noted on each product page.

5. When will my order ship?

Ready-to-ship items are processed within 2–4 business days.

Pre-order and made-to-order pieces ship as soon as production is complete, and you’ll receive email updates every step of the way so you always know where your item is on its journey home.

As a small business, we handle each order with care and intention. We’re doing our very best to get your treasured pieces to you as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and for supporting our growing brand.

6. Do you ship internationally?

At this time, we ship within the United States only. International shipping will be added as we grow. Stay tuned!

7. What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for unused, undamaged items in their original packaging.

Because many of our products are handmade or made-to-order, some items may be final sale. This will always be clearly noted on the product page. Visit our Shipping and Returns page for more information.

8. What if my item arrives damaged?

If something arrives damaged, we’ve got you. Email us within 48 hours at hello@kindredandkin.com with photos of the issue and your order number. We’ll replace or refund the item as quickly as possible.

Your experience matters to us. We want every piece you receive to bring joy, pride, and delight -- and we’ll do everything we can to make sure you’re fully happy with your order.

9. Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link to follow your package from our hands to your home.

10. Do you work with artisans directly?

Yes -- relationships are at the heart of what we do. We source through direct artisan partnerships, fair-trade cooperatives and responsible heritage brands that prioritize ethical production, fair wages, and community impact.
